Roland-Garros

Roland-Garros, the French Open

In 2005, the French Tennis Federation (FFT), the offical organiser of the International Grand Slam Tennis Tournament, joined forces with Ina to invite tennis enthusiasts to follow them to the hallowed clay courts at Roland-Garros.

 A legendary tournament

As one of the world’s four major international tennis championships, Roland Garros is a real French institution, which also marks the beginning of the year’s fine weather. The world’s finest tennis players travel to the French capital every year for two weeks to compete on the famous clay courts named after Philippe Chatrier and Suzanne Lenglen, among others.

Relive some magical moments with players of the calibre of Agassi, Borg, Chang, Edberg, Federer, Gerulaïtis, Gomez, Lendl, Mc Enroe, Noah, Sampras... and among the ladies, Arantxa Sanchez, Steffi Graf, Martina Navratilova, and Chris Evert, who won the tournament, now known as the Suzanne Lenglen Cup, seven times.

 A vast source of images

Interviews, matches from the first week of the tournament, the semi-finals… and the finals, the high point of the fortnight: the collection contains all the best shots by those champions, men and women, who, racket in hand, helped write the legend of this Grand Slam tournament.
