| What will you find
on the Inamediapro site? |
| The Institut National de l’Audiovisuel
newsreel and television archives. These archives are largely made
up of programmes broadcast by French public television channels
between 1949 and today, and Actualités Françaises
newsreels from 1940 to 1969. |
| |
| What can you do

• Carry out research in the documentary database
• View digitised archives
• Create extracts while you view
• Choose selected
archives from a personal file or a shopping basket
• Send the shopping basket to your sales contact

| |
| Which Ina collections
can you research? |
|
You can research all television and newsreel
collections handled by Ina, including theme-based collections:
Actualités Françaises (French newsreels, 1940-1969),
RTF (1949-1964), ORTF (1964-1975), TF1 (1975-1982), A2 and France
2, national and regional FR3 and France 3, France 5, Ina productions. These
collections represent some 2,700,000 documents.

| |
| Can all of the Inamediapro
archives in the database be licensed? |
| Archives in the database require legal analysis
and can require rights clearance and an assessment of the quality
of the materials before they are delivered. Ina is consequently
not in a position to systematically guarantee the licensing of
all the images requested. |
| |
| What can be viewed
online? |
| All Ina’s digitised footage, i.e. more than 300,000 hours. This corresponds to more than 80% of the archives on Inamediapro. Viewing is in MPEG1 at 1.2 Megabits/second using a Quick Time reader, version
6.0.2 or later. A viewer
enables you to create your own extracts and put them in your shopping basket. High-speed
access is strongly recommended for ease of use. |
| |
| Why is access filtered
by a password, when most archives websites do not? |
| Ina is not in a position to allow archives to be viewed online, as most of them do not yet have rights clearance, hence a filtering system so that only professionals can use the service. |
