The Earth in Close-up; Previosly unscreened high definition pictures filmed by Christian Zuber, a pioneer of the environmental movement.
In these four full-length and mid-length films (never aired on TV), Christian Zuber – camera in hand – makes an eloquent plea for the defence of nature and all its living creatures.
From the Seychelles to the Galapagos Islands, via Tanzania, Kenya and France, Zuber goes hunting for the pictures and sounds that form his testimony as an ethnologist and naturalist.
The previously unscreened documentaries, now restored in HD, enable us to meet the “Red Men” of Kenya, and to get very close to elephants, the giants of the forest, while heightening our awareness of the beauty of nature and its highly fragile equilibrium.
